Ruger Frontier 35 Whelen Review

One issue about this weapon is that it takes a little time before it actually fires a .300 Whisper round. My favorite caliber for the Ruger Frontier is 35 Whelen. My Dad's favorite caliber for groundhogs out to 300-400 yards is anything in a .300 Whisper.
The best sporting goods store in Utah is the Wiley Outdoor Sports in Painter. Our favorite rifle is the .300 Whisper I picked up online at the NRA store. I used to like the Burris 2.75 Scope better on my Ruger Frontier, and I'd be willing to bet that it's a bit more robust than the Leupold. My dad got his rifle at a gun show in Painter that occurs once every three or four months.
