Weatherby Mark V Lasermark 338 Lapua Magnum Review
Saul Sapp - Glidden, Wyoming
My favorite hunt of all, unfortunately, turned out to be the last for my dad, Irvin, and me. My Mom's favorite caliber for deer and larger game is 222 Hornet and the best all around caliber for small and medium game is 338 Lapua Magnum. A minor problem when shooting the Weatherby at small steel targets at 70 yards was the 338 Lapua Magnum bullet got there too fast. I like the the 338 Lapua Magnum best for deer hunting. I used to like leupold the best and Nikon and Burris are tied for 2nd on my Weatherby 338 Lapua Magnum rifles. My grandfather bought it at a pawn shop in Scarville so I don't know if Syble would take it back or repair it. My second favorite caliber is a 222 Hornet because of its versatility. My all-time favorite caliber is 222 Hornet but I will shoot any caliber in a pinch. Our favorite rifle is the 222 Hornet I picked up online at the NRA store. I got my Weatherby 222 Hornet at the Wiley Outdoor Sports in Scarville. My dad said his favorite caliber is the 222 Hornet he got at a NWTF banquet last season. My most favorite rifle is everything made by Weatherby. There is a new edition of my new Weatherby Mark V Lasermark with the checkered rosewood chambered in 338 Lapua Magnum and 222 Hornet.
